Historic towns and beautiful sights
Excursions in the region
Feuchtwangen is on the Romantic Road, Germany's oldest and most popular holiday route. It is also part of the Romantic Franconia holiday region. The neighbouring towns of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Dinkelsbühl, Schillingsfürst, Ansbach and the picturesque villages in the surrounding area ensure many wonderful adventures on a discovery tour.
The Franconian Lake District with Lake Altmühlsee and Lake Brombachsee is not far from Feuchtwangen. If you are interested in gardens, then Dennenlohe Castle is just the place for you. Also not far away is the Limeseum (Roman Museum) in Ruffenhofen.
From Frankenhöhe Nature Park to the Romantic Road
Characterised by the beauty of the Frankenhöhe Nature Park and Hesselberg mountain landscapes and historically shaped by the former free imperial cities and margravial rule, Romantic Franconia is a wonderful holiday region with many highlights.
Hohenlohe and Schwaebisch Hall
The Hohenloher Land region is shaped by the rivers Kocher, Jagst and Bühler, which characterise the landscape. The river valleys are ideal for cycling and hiking. And on the higher ground you can see magnificent castles. Half-timbered towns such as the saltworks town of Schwäbisch Hall offer gusts an opportunity to visit local museums, attend open-air performances on the steps of St Michael’s Church (Großen Treppe) or enjoy a stroll through the historic town.
